nokia 220 dead after flash
Nokia 220 battery issue!!!
Hi, I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem I'm having with my Nokia Lumia 640. I have root access to the phone and have installed the Nokia USB driver. The phone powers on fine, but when I plug the usb cable it does not show up in "Device Manager". The software manager tells me that the phone is installed but the USB driver is missing. Below are the current drivers in my Windows Device Manager:
NOKIA DEVICES. MTP. C - charge driver. Nokia USB E62. Support Software. Media driver. Generic USB Device. Nokia PC Suite. Support Software. HID. Bluetooth driver for PC. USB Generic driver for PC.
I'm a little out of my depth here, but I'm not a hardware or a software guy. I've googled my brains out and have read through as much documentation as I can find. Please, for the love of everything good, help. I'll explain as best I can, for anybody who can explain anything.
My phones software:
Windows Device Manager: Nokia(MTP)
Microsoft Windows Operating System. Drivers(listed in order installed): None.
If the phone is working properly, what's left to try? I can try installing the latest Lumia firmware, but what's the point?
Edit: Let me clarify.
I have a Lumia 640 running the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview.
The phone appears to work fine.
I have a wired connection to the phone.
I have the Nokia USB driver installed.
The USB cable is plugged in and the LED turns on.
When I look at "Device Manager" in Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview it shows the phone as "installed but missing drivers".
The phone has received a new update of firmware (16.1010.16261.0).
I have since uninstalled that firmware update.
A:
Make sure to install any software updates on the phone.
